Vintage Ingrid Perfume Bottle

This vintage Ingrid Perfume Bottle was the highest priced perfume bottle sold on eBay over the last 90 days.  It received 19 bids and sold for $4,625.99.  The carved red rose bottle, which was signed Ingrid and Czechoslovakia, measures 5 3/4″ tall.

Ingrid was a line of perfume bottles made by Heinrich Hoffman (1875-1939) and his son-in-law Henry Schlevogt (1904-1984) in Czechoslovakia in the 1920s and 1930s.  They featured agate, marble and stone finishes and were often enhanced with carved stone or glass cabochons.  Many of the designs were Art Deco Style.

Ingrid perfume bottles are known for their geometric shapes, classical motifs and oversized stoppers.

    this was and is a beautiful bottle..I remember when it was up for bid…in fact, I was the person who told the seller,how to find the Ingrid signature…at great length…it was originally listed as “not signed”…I’m pleased to see that it went for so much….BRAVO !
